MERGE Chemistry designs and manufactures specialty chemicals for energy storage applications with an emphasis on electrolytes, additives, and stabilizers (EAS) for zinc-based aqueous battery systems. Our additive packages, based on metals and inorganic salts, are optimized to inhibit hydrogen evolution, decrease corrosion, and control plating and dendrite growth. Each package is custom tailored for compatibility with our customers’ proprietary electrolyte chemistry, from acidic to alkaline.

 

We also offer trace metals impurity testing and analysis (chemistry agnostic) to evaluate the purity of starting materials and the degradation of cell materials after long cycle times. Our manufacturing capability ranges from prototype/pilot scale, all the way up to full commercialization. We can also provide R&D and pilot-scale quantities of battery starting materials, including custom synthesis, for companies working on novel battery concepts for electrolyte and cathode design.
